Suggested routes to feel & enjoy Costa Brava

Greco Roman Route
Empúries was the gateway of Greek and Roman culture to the Iberian Peninsula.
This route surrounds the Museum of Archaeology of Catalonia through an exclusive route for cycling. History and sea in a stretch of extreme beauty.
The main section is only 2 kilometers long and can be completed in the direction of Sant Pere Pescador or Torroella de Montgrí.

Medieval Route I
The inland Emporda offers a wide range of medieval villages in close proximity to each other.
On this route you will feel part of the history of the territory, you will arrive by roads with little traffic to each of the villages and you will be able to pedal through its almost deserted streets during the week.

Medieval Route II
On this route you will feel part of the history of the territory, you will arrive by roads with little traffic to each of the villages and you will be able to pedal through its almost deserted streets during the week ending at “Mare de Deu dels Angels Sanctuary” built at the one of the highest points of the Gavarres massif.
Dificulty: Moderate / High

Mediterranean Route
This route is ideal for lovers of cycling and the sea as it runs all the time along the Mediterranean Sea.
You can leave from the "Porta Ferrada" of Roman origin and reach the medieval castle of Tossa de Mar or the other way around.
There is also the possibility of taking the detour towards Sant Grau and climb this short but steep mountain. In this case the difficulty goes from moderate to very high.

Mediterranean Route II
Very quiet route that starts from the quiet beach of S'Agaró passing through Platja d'aro and ending at the “Palamós Fish Museum” where you can book (payment on request) a show cooking of freshly caught fish.
The section from Platja d'aro to Sant Antoni de Calonge has recently been adapted with 2 lanes for cyclists.
The last part runs along the promenade of Sant Antoni Calonge, from where you can enjoy magnificent views of the Bay of Palamós.

Salvador Dali Route
In the spring of 1970, Salvador Dalí gave Púbol Castle to his wife Gala.
Pubol is a small rural village in the municipality of La Pera located very close to the "Des Angels Sanctuary", the place where Dalí and Gala got married.
On this route, you will discover these places through roads with very little traffic.
